One of the many key features of the Customer Mobile App is its extensive search capabilities. The app’s user experience makes searching for products as easy as ever. Customers can access your products in many different ways, from manually searching item names or SKUs to browsing by a specific product category and saving product lists that they can use time and time again.

Using the app, your customers can search for products on your Commerce website, add products to their shopping cart, and check out, all while using their phone or tablet.

Product Search Features

Searching for products via the Customer Mobile App is intuitive, making it simple for your customers to do business with you while on the go.

To browse your products, they can do so in a few different ways. First, they can type a product name, SKU, or keyword into the search bar at the top of the screen. The search is dynamic and will bring up a list of clickable, suggested results. Clicking on a product will bring the user to its product page.

On the product page, customers will not only be able to select their desired quantity and add the product to their cart, but they’ll also be able to view product image(s), the part number, whether it’s in stock, the location of where it’s available, and a product description.

Users can also locate products in the app by using the barcode scanner next to the search bar. If a customer has already purchased a product and wants to access its product page or order more of the same product, they can use their phone or tablet’s camera to scan its barcode. Once scanned, the app will display the related product.

Another way of searching the website is to shop by category. If you have product categories set on your Commerce website, your customers will be able to browse by the established category hierarchy.

Product Lists are also a way customers can shop for your products. Lists are similar to catalogs whereas your customers can create lists based on different categories, product type, jobs, projects, or any other use case that fits their needs.

For example, if your customer frequently orders the same products for recurring projects, they could create a List for each project type with all the materials they would need for said project.

Your customers can create two kinds of lists: Company Lists and Personal Lists. Company Lists can be created by individual users and are visible to all users with proper permissions under their company account. Otherwise, users can create Private Lists that are only visible to them.

Once a list is available, your customers can select individual products within the list or add the entire list to their cart.

The Viewed Recently section toward the bottom of the app’s homepage is another feature that allows your customers to browse products. This section will show the products that were most recently clicked on, providing your customers with even easier access to products they’ve previously shown interest in.
