Operations SEO - Updating Multiple Product Meta Fields

  1. Navigate to "PIM"

By default, Kodaris generates meta fields for your products based on your store SEO and your PIM data. You can also customize the meta fields per product. To update meta fields on multiple products, navigate to the "PIM" section in the Operations Portal.

  2. Click "Products"

Then, click "Products". In order to access and update “Products” you will need to be set up either as an “administrator” or a “superuser”, or have the roles of: “productView” and “productEdit”

  3. Click "Data" tab

Since we want to update the meta fields on multiple products, we will want to use the embedded spreadsheet. Click the "Data" tab.

  4. Click "Show/Hide Columns" icon

Choose the columns that you would like to view on the data grid screen by clicking on the "Show/Hide Columns" icon.

  5. Select the columns to view

Then, select " SEO Meta Description" and "SEO Meta Title" columns to view in "Data" grid along with any other needed columns. If you will be accessing this view often, it may be helpful to save this view with a sticky filter.

  6. Type in product keyword

To find the products that you would like to update, enter a keyword in the "Search..." field. Then, hit "Enter".

  7. Narrow search using column filters

You can also use the columns in the data grid to filter on products.

  8. Enter the SEO Meta Description

Now that you found the products you would like to update, enter the values you would like to use in the "SEO Meta Description" fields. If no meta description is set, Kodaris uses your global store meta description by default

  9. Enter the SEO Meta Title

Enter the values you would like to input in the "SEO Meta Title" fields. If no meta title is set, Kodaris uses your product name by default.

  10. Click "Preview on Website" icon

To verify that your product meta fields are properly set, check the product page by clicking on the "Preview on Website" icon.

  11. Click "View Page Source"

Right-click on the page and select "View Page Source". Alternatively, you can press " Ctrl+U " on your keyboard.

  12. Locate the Title and Meta Description tags

Locate the title and meta description tags, and they should be set to the default values or the values you entered for that product.
