Operations AR/AP - View Payment Attempts and Error Codes

  1. Navigate to "System"

    Payment requests and responses are logged and displayed in the Operations Portal so that you can view your customer's successful and non-successful card payment attempts. To view card payment attempts, navigate to "System" section.

  2. Click "Payment Attempts"

    Click "Payment Attempts". To access "Payment Attempts", you will need to be set up either as an "administrator" or a "superuser" or have the following roles: "paymentEdit and paymentView”.

  3. Select a date from the "Folders" column

    On the payment screen, you will see that there are three columns: Folders, Attempts, and Details. To view the data, select the specific payment attempt date.

  4. Select a response from the "Attempts" column

    Attempts made on that date will be in the "Attempts" column. It also includes the time of the attempt. Now, select a request or response to view the details.

  5. Attempt details will show in the "Details" column

    After selecting a response, the details will now be displayed on the "Details" column. Now, since Payments Attempts are listed by payment date and time, you can identify the date and time a specific customer made a payment by searching in System Events using the Company ID.

  6. Go to "Companies"

    First, identify the Company ID from the Companies menu. In order to access "Companies" you will need to be set up either as an "administrator" or a "superuser", or have the appropriate roles: "companyView and companyEdit", or "crmCompanyView and crmCompanyEdit". Just a reminder, "crmCompanyView and crmCompanyEdit" access only allows employees to view companies that are assigned to them.

  7. Search for the company

    Search for the company by entering the company name in the "Search..." field.

  8. Click "Show/Hide Columns" icon

    If the Company ID is not yet displayed, click the "Show/Hide Columns" icon.

  9. Select "Company ID"

    Select the "Company ID".

  10. Look for the company ID

    Take note of the company's ID number.

  11. Go to "System Events"

    Now, access the "System Events" screen.

  12. Search for "Process_Payment_By_Search_For_Company_[company id]"

    In the Code column filter, search for "Process_Payment_By_Search_For_Company_[company id]. In the code, replace the company ID with the previously noted ID number, and do not include the brackets. This will list all payments made by the company.

  13. "Preview" icon

    Click the "Preview" icon to preview processing message to identify payment with an error.

  14. Preview pane

    Preview pane will appear with all the system event details.

  15. Note the Date and Time

    Note the Date and Time. Once you know the payment date and time the error occurred, you can narrow the search within the Payment Attempts menu.
