Configure PIM - Export All Products Assigned to a PIM Category

1. Navigate to "PIM" section

   Exported data can be used to check and verify information. It can also be used to update information in the operations portal when importing. If you are using the PIM workflow, and would like to export all products that are assigned to a PIM category, navigate to "PIM" section in the Operations Portal.

   

2. Click "Products"

   Then, click "Products". In order to access, edit, and export products, you will need to be assigned the role of "administrator" or "superuser". Or have the roles of: "productView", "productEdit", "exportEdit" and "exportView".

   

3. Select "Data"

   Select the "Data" tab.

   

4. Click the "Show/Hide Columns" icon

   Click the "Show/Hide Columns" icon.

   

5. Select the needed columns

   In order to export a PIM category, you will want to select the "PIM Category" column. You can also include any other columns that you would like to export. Unselect any columns you do not need to export. If you will be importing data back into the system, you will want to make sure that the "Code" column is added to the screen. The code is required when importing, as it is the identifying factor for matching information.

   

6. Filter by "PIM Category"

   Choose the PIM category of products you would like to export by using the "PIM Category" column to filter. You can also choose to export all products by leaving the filter blank. In this example, we have chose to export the products in the PIM category of "Insulation".

   

7. Click "File"

   Once you have the data ready to export, click "File".

   

8. Select "Export"

   Select "Export" option.

   

9. Rename file, if preferred

   You can rename your file by clicking into the "Filename" field and replacing the default with your preferred name.

   

10. Click "Save"

    Finally, click "Save". The file will now be downloaded to your computer. If you are exporting a large amount of data, it may take a small amount of time to complete the export.
